Kludge

It's another fantastic Thursday, Donkey Kong fans, and boy have we got a treat for you today! This week's featured Kremling is Kludge, from DK Barrel Blast/ Jet Race, and he's looking as surly as ever. Funky Kong and Kludge share the same stats in the game, with high top speed and low handling. This is one of my favorite illustrations so far.

Kludge is another character that was developed without much of a bio, so here's my take on ol' big blue. At a time when the Kremling Krew was the terror of the high seas, Kaptain K. Rool's quest for power led him to the Panther Kingdom prior to the reign of King Conker the First. The Kremlings left no stone unturned in their raid, and returned home with some very interesting finds. In the lowest cell of the King's dungeon, they discovered Kludge, a massive alligator-like beast with blue skin. No one is really sure if Kludge is a full-blooded Kremling or not since he refuses to talk and his name literally means "an assortment of parts." K. Rool welcomed him into the Krew anyway, and Kludge now makes his home in a shipping container outfitted with various weights and other workout equipment. He's slightly larger than K. Rool, and has even beaten the likes of Krusha and Klubba in tests of strength. Kludge is a skilled brawler and has a lot of scars to complete his tough-guy look. However, the large scar on his stomach is thought by doctors to be an appendectomy scar from his childhood. It's been said that music soothes the savage beast, and Kludge loves his music to such an extent that his obedience is directly tied to it. He won't fight or even come out of his container unless someone motivates him with music that he likes.
