The Raccoons - Sophia Tutu

Allergies kept me home from work on Saturday so I binged on The Raccoons, a fantastic little '80s animated comedy series from Canada. Waaaay back, my dad (that's MISTER FischHead to you!) would record cartoons for me before he left for work. We had VHS tapes full of them and I always had trouble finding the one with The Raccoons on it because it was a single episode that got recorded by mistake. Like Rock and Rule, I remembered it recently and did some artwork for the show because I am in love with it now. XD
The series revolves around the day to day conflicts between a family of raccoons and a family of aardvarks. Cyril Sneer is a perpetually greedy businessman (business-aardvark?) who wants to destroy the Evergreen Forest for financial gain and it's up to Bert Raccoon and his friends to stop him. Think of it as SatAM Sonic the Hedgehog minus the "too cool 'tude" and plethora of robots.

Sophia is a minor character on the aardvark side of the cast. She's described as Cedric Sneer's ditzy girlfriend, but the show doesn't really portray her as much of an airhead at all, which I find very encouraging. I like Sophia and wish she got a more prominent role, but everyone takes a back seat to the indomitable Bert Raccoon and the nefarious Cyril Sneer.
